Initialize Network Trace

Before commencing with a trace operation, the network connectivity model must be initialized by selecting the network, selecting the stop conditions, and clicking the Initialize button.

Note: The Use Fence option can be toggled on to limit the network trace to the network area covered by the active fence.

For the Electric Industry Data Model, the following networks options are pre-configured for tracing:

Electric Primary
Electric Secondary
Electric Structural
Conduit Network

For the Electric Primary trace option, the following stop conditions are pre-configured:

None - no stop conditions
Default - stops at:
- Switch Cabinet Fused Switch, Switch Cabinet Group Switch, Fuse Bank, OH Recloser Bank, OH Regulator Bank, OH Sectionalizer Bank, OH Switch Bank, OH Step Transformer Bank, and UG Step Transformer Bank features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C'
- all OH Primary Open Point and UG Primary Open Point features
A Phase - stops at:
- Switch Cabinet Fused Switch and Switch Cabinet Group Switch features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C'
- Fuse Bank, OH Recloser Bank, OH Regulator Bank, OH Sectionalizer Bank, OH Switch Bank, OH Step Transformer Bank, and UG Step Transformer Bank features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C' and a phase property that does contain value 'A'
- all OH Primary Open Point and UG Primary Open Point features
- UG Primary Splice, UG Primary Splice Box, OH Primary, UG Primary, and OH Primary Jumper Bank with a phase property that does not contain value 'A'
B Phase - stops at:
- Switch Cabinet Fused Switch and Switch Cabinet Group Switch features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C'
- Fuse Bank, OH Recloser Bank, OH Regulator Bank, OH Sectionalizer Bank, OH Switch Bank, OH Step Transformer Bank, and UG Step Transformer Bank features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C' and a phase property that does contain value 'B'
- All OH Primary Open Point and UG Primary Open Point features
- UG Primary Splice, UG Primary Splice Box, OH Primary, UG Primary, and OH Primary Jumper Bank with a phase property that does not contain value 'B'
C Phase - stops at:
- Switch Cabinet Fused Switch and Switch Cabinet Group Switch features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C'
- Fuse Bank, OH Recloser Bank, OH Regulator Bank, OH Sectionalizer Bank, OH Switch Bank, OH Step Transformer Bank, and UG Step Transformer Bank features with an operating status property that does not contain a value 'C' and a phase property that does contain value 'C'
- All OH Primary Open Point and UG Primary Open Point features

Isolation Trace - stops at:
- All Switch Cabinet Fused Switch, Switch Cabinet Group Switch, Fuse Bank, OH Recloser Bank, OH Sectionalizer Bank, OH Switch Bank, OH Step Transformer Bank, UG Step Transformer Bank, OH Primary Open Point and UG Primary Open Point features

For the Electric Secondary trace option, the following stop conditions are pre-configured:

None - no stop conditions
Default - stops at all OH Primary Open Point and UG Primary Open Point features

For the Electric Structural trace option, the following stop conditions are pre-configured:

None - no stop conditions
Default - stops at all Substation features

For the Conduit Network trace option, the following stop condition is pre-configured:

None - no stop conditions

Note: The Network Trace engine is configurable and the number of network trace options and stop conditions can be modified and/or extended using the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Model Administrator.
